History
The following is a brief history of the Richards Farm neighborhood:
| December 2014 |
City of Arvada approves the Richards Farm subdivision development plan - a 125-home neighborhood.

| November 2015 |
The Developer creates the Richards Farm Metropolitan District.
|
| December 2015 |
The Declaration of Covenants and Restrictions for Richards Farm (i.e. CC&Rs) is filed and all lots in the neighborhood are annexed into and become subject to the CC&Rs.

| December 2015 |
The District issues bonds totaling approximately $3.3 million to subsidize the Developer's costs to develop its private land prior to the start of homebuilding activities.

| May 2016 |
The first single family home is sold by Meritage Homes.
|
| February 2018 |
The last single family home is sold by Meritage homes.
|
| May 2018 |
As a result of the board election, three of the five seats on the board are filled by independent directors / homeowners. Employees/owners of the land developer (RF Land Investment, LLC) no longer control the majority of seats on the District board.
