History

 
The following is a brief history of the Richards Farm neighborhood:
 
December 2014 City of Arvada approves the Richards Farm subdivision development plan - a 125-home neighborhood.

November 2015 The Developer creates the Richards Farm Metropolitan District.
 
December 2015 The Declaration of Covenants and Restrictions for Richards Farm (i.e. CC&Rs) is filed and all lots in the neighborhood are annexed into and become subject to the CC&Rs.

December 2015 The District issues bonds totaling approximately $3.3 million to finance the build-out of the neighborhood's streets, sidewalks, park, utility lines, perimeter fencing, open space landscaping and storm water drainage infrastructure.
 
May 2016 The first single family home is sold by Meritage Homes.
 
February 2018 The last single family home is sold by Meritage homes.
 
May 2018 As a result of the board election, three of the five seats on the board are filled by independent directors / homeowners. Employees/owners of the land developer (RF Land Investment, LLC) no longer control the majority of seats on the District board.
